"All of this stuff is about mankind trying to see himself in perspective. That's what literature is about, that's what art is. It's trying to figure out what you are and what you're doing here." ~ Jim Henson

I have a love/hate relationship with labels.

There's something satisfying, even comforting, about wrapping yourself in the right words but that same cozy blanket of words can also be used by someone else to smother us, to roll us up and throw us away.

That being said- I am a queer, disabled, freelance artist with a degree in animation art and design, dabbled in tattooing, but ultimately found my passion in surrealist illustration and creature/character design.

I find my inspiration in the beautiful weirdness of nature, science, absurdism, bio-luminescence, the ocean, wildlife, fantasy, folklore, creature design, symbolism, social justice and 80s neon. The mediums have varied over the years but I've settled comfortably into water soluble oils and digital painting.

I've have embraced a more authentic and educated me as I've grown older and have every intention of continuing down that path to the best of my ability. Introspection is such an important step in the human experience. I hope you'll join me on that ongoing journey.
